My very own love story
Ik was best wel skeptisch betreft liefde, want ik geloofde er nooit zo in. Nooit gedacht dat ik dus bruidsfotograaf zou worden, want bruiloften vond ik oudbollig en te romantisch. Nu ben ik niet uitgepraat over bruiloften en ben er stiekem achter gekomen dat ik een echte romanticus ben.
Tinder, ik kon uren naar links swipen en soms dan een keer naar rechts. Perfecte tijdsverdoening (snap nu echt niet waar ik die tijd vandaan zou moeten halen ?). Veel jongens die met tijgers op de foto staan, opgepompte sportschool types of die maar 1 vage foto hebben. Toen kwam er een leuk lachend koppie voorbij, die toevallig dezelfde katsoort heeft als ik. Nou als independent woman begon ik het gesprek, over de kat ;). Ik kreeg een hele leuke reactie terug en een paar dagen lang ging het alleen maar over katten, kan je het je voorstellen?
Perfecte timing, not, want ik ging lekker op reis en was eigenlijk niet opzoek. Ik had toevallig door een vriendin Tinder weer gedownload, die een leuke jongen had gevonden (ik was de hoop in de Nederlandse markt al verloren haha). Tijdens mijn reis begonnen de gesprekken steeds leuker & langer te worden. Lees: appjes waar je als terrible whatsapper (like me) bang van wordt. Maar ik vond het juist super leuk en kon niet wachten om weer wat te horen!
Uiteindelijk ben je ook wel benieuwd naar elkaars stem, dus daar stond ik dan. Op een feestje, met een rood wijntje in mijn hand in Vietnam. Als het gesprek stom zou zijn, dan kon ik zeggen dat ik weer naar het feestje zou gaan. Always have your backup plan ;). Maar daar stond ik nog steeds, na 1,5 uur bellen met het rode wijntje in mijn hand waar geen slok uit was en het feestje stiller werd ? Alles voelde zo goed en begon ik nou iemand echt leuk te vinden die ik nog nooit had gezien? Dit gebeurd alleen in Catfish, dacht ik.
Na 2,5 maand appen & bellen brak die dag eindelijk aan dat we elkaar zouden zien. Ik wilde absoluut niet naar huis, lekker doorreizen met mijn vriendinnetje. Maar aan alles komt een eind, maar zo ontstaat ook vaak weer een nieuwe begin. Je hebt er vertrouwen in, maar je hebt elkaar nog nooit gezien en je weet het gewoon niet zeker. Iemand die zo knap is op foto’s/video’s & lief en geïnteresseerd is, dat lijkt toch haast te mooi om waar te zijn? Gedachten gaan door je hoofd als ‘straks ben ik niet leuk genoeg’ of ‘ruikt ie wel lekker’ (ik ben fan van luchtjes haha). Maar daar stond ik weer, zonder wijn, maar wel met een heerlijke jetlag te wachten op de-misschien-wel-liefde-van-mijn-leven. Ik stond op het station te wachten en zei dat ik een gele jas aan had, maar had een rode jas aan (de grapjas ha-ha). Hij kon van alle kanten komen en ik begon echt wel zenuwachtig te worden, tot ik ineens een heel blij koppie mijn kant op zag komen.
Omg, dat is hem! Ik had nog geen tijd om opgelucht te zijn, want voor we het wisten gaven we elkaar een kus. Haha can you imagine op een ‘first date’? Maar dat ging echt volledig automatisch, alsof we elkaar al jaren kennen na al die diepe en grappige gesprekken. Ojaaa en hij rook lekker! ?Maar wauw wat was ik opgelucht en fijn dat ik eindelijk een soort bevestiging kreeg dat dit echt een hele leuke jongen is, ook in het echt! We liepen naar een restaurant en gingen daar een drankje doen, een man die houdt van wijn! Daarna was de date kut. Haha grapje natuurlijk! Ik had niet op een betere avond kunnen hopen en was nog best sceptisch van te voren, maar ik zou stiekem willen dat ik die eerste date weer opnieuw zou kunnen beleven. Die zenuwen, die excitement. Oh heeerlijk!
Ik moest de volgende dag werken en we konden de avond gewoon niet afsluiten, wat resulteerde in gemiste bussen en toch nog wat tijd samen. Eenmaal richting huis kreeg ik meteen een appje met bevestiging, geen stom spelletje wie het eerst appt. Toen wist ik het zeker, zo voelt liefde.
En nu twee jaar later, onze eigen Tinder baby’s (maine coons) en een hoop leuke herinneringen verder. Ach zo zie je maar weer, wie niet waagt.. die swiped niet naar rechts ✌??
